I have actually read some tepid and even negative reviews of this one, so you are not alone in your thoughts. I was initially curious about it, but then some reviewers who I really trusted and that share the same tastes as I do really didn't like it, so I am pretty sure that I won't be reading it. It's too bad though, because there is so much that could have been done with this story that just wasn't. Thanks for being so honest about this one. Your gentle but honest reviews always impress me.

I felt the same way you did about this book-- there was tremendous potential there that never came together for me, largely due to not connecting at all with the characters.

My Goodreads friends that read it all gave it 3 stars, and I don't remember seeing that many glowing reviews of it, so we're not alone in that.
