I had a lot going on this week, but I also had a great reading week! My first day of classes was on Wednesday, and it looks like this semester is going to be a lot of work. Additionally, I’ve started working on my thesis for school because I’m going to be finished with school at the end of the summer! (Thankfully!!)
I feel like I’ve been doing a really good job with balance so far this year. (I know, the year’s only three weeks old – but still!) I’m reading when I feel like reading, but when I don’t, I watch TV or do some work. I haven’t felt any pressure to read a lot, and I love that – as a result, I think I’m actually reading more! Work at The Book Studio has been keeping me busy as well, and of course school is going to be pretty time consuming from this point on.
This Tuesday, January 26, I’m going to be Nicole’s guest on her That’s How I Blog show at 9 PM ET. Please come listen in if you can make it! Here’s is more information on it.

Holy cow! What a reading week you had! You read more books last week than I've read so far this year.
Ditto Kathy. I cannot even conceive how one human could read all these books in a week. That is more than one a day! And some of them are long! AND you have balance. I'm going to start calling you Wonder Woman!
I'm particuLarly interested in what you might have to say about THE LADY IN THE TOWER and THE GLASS ROOM. I've read a couple of reviews of THE LADY IN THE TOWER in the NYTBR: One review by Janet Maslin which faults Alison Weir for not mentioning WOLF HALL by Hilary Mantel (?!) and; one review written and published in today's edition, ironically, by Hilary Mantel!
I've just started to notice the indie press, Other Press and THE GLASS ROOM is one of theirs. The Man Booker Group I'm participating in just nominated it for a read. I didn't vote for it, but voting hasn't closed and I'm still thinking about it.
Wow, you read and review a lot in a week. I read that fast when I was in my twenties but I can hardly believe it now. I really want to read The Glass Room and the Thrity Umrigar book. I loved The Weight of heaven. I look forward to your thoughts on them. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
I wish I could read half as quickly! Very impressive!
How did you like Fidelity Files? I look forward to your review - I read it and loved it. I also liked the sequel - Love Under Cover which I reviewed on my blog.
Bombay Time is on my TBR - I may read it for the SAAC.
I agree. I think you are reading even more now. Goodness! I would like to be a fly on the wall just once to see how quickly you fly through your reading.
I know people that read fast but you always retain so much info too. Perhaps you have learned to do that our of necessity with your schoolwork but it's quite impressive.
Awesome reading week and I love the variety!
Wow, amazing what happens when you remove the pressure, huh? Amazing-looking books this week!
This might be a title for the South Asian challenge:
