COMPLETED: Classics Challenge 2009

This is a challenge that I honestly wasn’t sure I was going to be able to get through!  Still, I’m glad I completed it and will definitely participate in it again next year. Of the four books I read for this challenge, The Moonstone was my favorite, though I actually enjoyed all of them.

1. The English Patient – Michael Ondaatje [review]
2. Brideshead Revisited – Evelyn Waugh [review]
3. My Cousin Rachel – Daphne du Maurier [review]
4. The Moonstone – Wilkie Collins [review]

Way cool! I'm trying hard not to overwhelm myself with challenges! I keep seeing more and saying, "ooooooooh I want to do that!"

By the way, I passed on an award for you at my blog.

Yay!!! Great job on finishing the challenge! Honestly, I'm not even sure I'll finish! How bad is it for the hostess to fail at her own challenge? :P

Moonstone is a great one--Woman in White is even better if you haven't read that one yet.

Congratulations on finishing the challenge! I'm still working at mine, currently reading The Grapes of Wrath (fits nicely in this Banned Books Week ;)

After Grapes I still have to do The Pillowbook and The Chosen... And I also need to review two of the books that I have read. Argh! No, I am not getting stressed!

The Moonstone is on my wishlist; I contemplated joining The Classics Circuit about Wilkie Collins but there's too much on MT. TBR that I should finish first. Thee's only so much a grrl can handle -- and I might be overdoing it already! LOL
