I keep thinking I want to read something by Georgette Heyer. I'd love to win this.

My favorite historical fiction author would be Laurie R. King, if her work is historical enough to qualify. I've read and enjoyed many books in both genres, but my mind is blanking on anything else to label a favorite.

I do read some historical romance and my favorite is Taylor Caldwell. Most people haven't heard of her, but she wrote many years ago, back when women weren't supposed to be doing such things. She used her grandfather's first name so readers would think she was a man!

I have never read Georgette Heyer, which is surprising since I immerse myself in historical fiction quite often. My favorite HF author is Brenda Rickman Vantrease. She's only written 2 novels so far, but they are AWESOME.
