Does my son giving me a beautiful new grandson count? That's the best thing that's happened to me lately!

Thanks for this offer...plus it made me evaluate the good done for me! My best friend told me how "adult" I handled my work load and stress all the time. At first I wasn't sure how to take it, but felt the goodness of her comment and realized that she was trying to show me that in the midst of my being overwhelmed, that she saw all the good that I did. It sounds pretty simple, but it has really stuck with me and made me feel a little less anxious about the way I look at the stress I deal with on a daily basis (as a teacher). Such a great friend...sure love her!

Anyway, thanks for the offer!

I was recently on my first cruise ever and on the third day came down with a-typical pnemonia and a heart condition that I didn't know I had. I was taken by ambulance to Doctor's Hospital in Nassau. My best friend who was on the cruise with her husband, came of the ship and stayed wih me for four days. She paid for her own hotel and meals and sat with me for hours each day while I was being treated. That is the most wonderful thing I can think of for anyone to do for me. She missed four days of that cruise to be with me.

Last night, my daughter and I went to Subway to pick up dinner for the family. When we got to the counter to pay, the cashier informed us that a man that was two people ahead of us in line had left $100 and instructions to pay for the rest of the people in line - as long as the money held out. Our dinner was completely paid for! I was totally shocked and blessed.

I was having a challenging day out trying to get errands done with my three boys aged 9,3, and 2. While I was at the haircutters to get the boys' hair cut, this woman leaned over and said "You're doing a good job mom". She went on to tell me how she always appreciated it when someone said that to her when her kids were little. I appreciated the comment and it really picked me up and allowed me to finish what I had to do.

Recently when I was feeling a little depressed, my co-worker actually noticed and asked if I was OK and needed to talk about anything. It's a small thing, but I think the most beautiful thing a person can do for another is notice when they seem sad and offer to be there for them. We should all do it more often.

Winning this book would be beautiful!

It is final exam time in university, and even though we are both very busy, my boyfriend took the time (that he didn't have!) to come over to my house, just to spend a little time with me. It was so sweet.

Thanks for the opportunity to win this book!

Something beautiful...
My dear friend lends me her listening ear while I release my tension, fears, etc re: my son and his special needs. She also researches things in regards to his issues...she shares what she finds. She also attends meeting in re:to him with my husband and I. Yep, what she does for me is very beautiful.
