Spring Reading Thing 2009

I'm so excited to join a reading challenge for spring, entitled Spring Reading Thing 2009! It's hosted by Callapidder Days and runs from March 20 - June 20, 2009. If you're interested in joining this challenge as well, here is more information.

Like the Winter Reading Challenge 2009, I'm going to pick 15 books that are sitting on my TBR shelves, but are not review books. I like being forced to read books that have been been abandoned on my shelves for awhile!

1) Such a Pretty Fat – Jen Lancaster
2) The Book of Lies – Brad Meltzer
3) Stupid and Contagious – Caprice Crane
4) At a Loss for Words – Diane Schoemperlen
5) Girls in Pants: The Third Summer of the Sisterhood – Ann Brashares
6) Dear American Airlines – Jonathan Miles
7) The Spanish Bow – Andromeda Romano-Lax
8) Orange Mint and Honey – Eileen Brice
9) The Lying Tongue – Andrew Wilson
10) I Was Told There'd Be Cake – Sloane Crosley
11) Whistling in the Dark – Lesley Kagen
12) Hollywood Car Wash – Lori Culwell
13) Three Junes – Julia Glass
14) Nearlyweds – Beth Kendrick
15) Falling Out of Fashion – Karen Yampolsky

Looks like a great list. I'll be putting my list together in a few days.

I went with review books because I'm having the opposite problem of wanting to read the OTHER books on my shelves. I need to plough through!

Great list - I'm going to have to look into several of the books to add to my list.

Thanks for the list! Several of the titles were intriguing enough for me to look up online, and I've added three of them (Dear American Airlines, I Was Told There'd Be Cake, and Whistling in the Dark) to my own TBR list.

I like to do the same thing for these challenges -- look at what's already on my shelves and attempt to make a dent in them! Thank you so much for being part of Spring Reading Thing 2009!

I really enjoyed Such a Pretty Fat and I Was Told There'd Be Cake. Love those essays! I see you're also reading David Sedaris's latest -- I liked that one a lot, too. Happy reading :)

I don't think I have read any of the travelling pants books ... I may have to add them to my YA list to get to at some point. :)

Great list of books to read for the challenge. Can't believe I haven't read Brad Meltzer's book yet.

There are some intriguing titles on your list - the only one I have actually read is the sisterhood book ( I have a teenage daughter so we're up on those!) Good luck with the challenge!
