Well, it's that time again! This week definitely flew by. I had an extraordinarily successful reading week, school-wise and fun-wise, so that's always a good feeling. I am really catching up on my review copy shelf, which is always great! It's giving me a lot more freedom in the books I choose to review.
The hubby and I are starting to assess what needs to be done in our condo. We live in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo, and when I moved in 2 years ago, it was pretty much straight out of college with Ikea furniture. The guest bedroom had nothing in it, just an air mattress on the floor for guests. We've slowly been furnishing our place and upgrading everything - we painted our bedroom a light brown and bought some really nice furniture last year. Our living room is also finished. Now we are focusing on our guest bedroom - we have a bed in there now, but all the furniture is mismatched. We also use it as an office and it's my "reading room." We definitely want to paint it (I'm thinking butter yellow) and get a nice non-particleboard desk and headboard/nightstand for the bed. If all this stuff matched, that would be even better. We brought home paint samples this weekend, I think we are going to get the paint today. And next weekend, there will be a painting extravaganza! I'll include some before and after shots for you guys.
I'm a little behind in blogging this week. I'm trying to comment more on other blogs, but it's definitely time consuming! Hopefully I get caught up today or tomorrow. I've also added a little "Thursday Tunes" column in my sidebar, in case you want to see what music I've been featuring in my weekly posts!

I'm currently giving away Midori by Moonlight by Wendy Tokunaga. If you haven't entered yet, you have until midnight tonight, so hurry on over there! [review][entry page]
This week, I once again participated in Teaser Tuesdays after missing it last week. I also posted about LibraryThing Member Giveaways - I was especially excited because they quoted one of my reviews! I also participated in Wordless Wednesdays, which is a great way to showcase the pictures I've taken over the years. This week's Thursday Tunes was Katie Melua. I've gotten some great feedback on this meme - I'm glad you guys are enjoying it! Thursday also means a Booking Through Thursday post. For all the LOST fans, I hosted a little discussion of "The Little Prince" and finally posted about the Friends Award.
Now, onto the stats!

A check for Outliers...check, check for Uncommon Reader....
You must tell us your secrets...How do you read so many books? :-)
Fixing up your first home is so much fun! As always, I'm amazed by the amount of reading you do.
Wow, that is one impressive reading week! I don't think you need to worry about being behind on reviews until you start to forget the books. Then there's a problem, and that's ALWAYS my problem, hehe.
I love decorating. I can't wait until we buy a house (which is as soon as my fiance's flat sells!). It'll be a while until we can afford to have it all furnished nicely, but I think we'll be going room by room like you. Can't wait to see your guest room!
Far as I can tell Swapna you always have a successfull reading week. lol. The re-decorating and painting sounds like so much fun. It's fun to see a new room emerge. I can't wait to see the pics. Have fun!
Oo, I love before and after pictures. Can't wait!
:)
You are such an amazing reader!!!
