Sunday Salon

Well, September has come and gone in what seems like the blink of an eye! I managed to read 24 books in September - whew! I honestly don't know where I find the time. Today isn't going to be very productive in terms of reading for fun, but I had better be productive in reading for school! We're descending into midterms and I've got three papers due in the next week!

Right now, I'm running a giveaway for Elizabeth McCracken's An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination, in partnership with Miriam at Hachette Book Group. [review][entry page]

I'm currently reading When Will There Be Good News by Kate Atkinson. I've read Case Histories, and while it was good, I didn't think it lived up to the hype of how amazing it was. However, I'm already loving this book.

Books I've read this week:

The Likeness - Tana French [review to be posted tomorrow]

Time of My Life - Allison Winn Scotch [review to be posted Tuesday]

House and Home - Kathleen McCleary [review to be posted Wednesday]

The Best Day of Someone Else's Life - Kerry Reichs [review to be posted]

Hot Mess: Summer in the City - Julie Kraut & Shallon Lester [review to be posted on Friday]

Love and Biology at the Center of the Universe - Jennie Shortridge [review to be posted on Thursday]

The Other Queen - Philippa Gregory [review to be posted on Saturday]

My Husband's Sweethearts - Bridget Asher [review to be posted]

Reviews posted this week:

Schooled - Anisha Lakhani [review]

An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination - Elizabeth McCracken [review]

The Professor's Wives' Club - Joanne Rendell [review]

Falling Under - Danielle Younge-Ullman [review]
(This review was also featured at The Debutante Ball!)

In the Woods - Tana French [review]

24 books-WOW! That's amazing. I've seen When Will There be Good News around and I'd really like to read it. I look forward to your review. Good luck getting your school reading done today!

I'll be interested to read your review of Hot Mess. I have to read that one as well. Seems okay so far! :-)

24 books is impressive... even more so because you're in school.

I've added two books that you read this week to my TBR list. I have Schooled from the library, but I'm not sure if I'll read it before it's due. I may end up returning it and putting my name back on the wait list.

I am another one who can barely manage four books a month. Reading 24 in that amount of time is a major achievement.

I will admit to being swayed by titles and book covers, and the ones you listed are particularly appealing. If I didn't already have a large stack by my bed, I would be looking into a few of them.

I think that's incredible reading!
You have a great list going there. I have read several and a couple on my TBR pile. I can't wait for your October total. LOL..

That's they one! I heard of My Husband's Sweethearts sometime last month and the synopsis stuck with me but the name didn't.
