My husband and I went on a bit of a book organizing binge yesterday. It seemed that my bookshelves had been hemorrhaging books, which meant that there were stacks upon stacks of books on the floor, on tables, everywhere you looked. We have a total of three bookshelves in the house, all the same size. This is what one of them ended up looking like (the other two look very similar):

Oh my-that looks great and so organized. Mine are such a disaster. Lately I find myself moving around my books because there are so many. lol.
