Fall Into Reading 2008 - My First Replacements

Okay, I know I said I was going to try REALLY hard not to change around my Fall Into Reading 2008 list too much. And I'm still sticking by that, but I am going to make a switch. How Perfect Is That by Sarah Bird just isn't interesting me right now, and while I am still planning on reading it eventually, I'm taking it off the list. I'm going to replace it with Love and Biology at the Center of the Universe by Jennie Shortridge. So here's how my list looks now:

1. The Man Who Loved China - Simon Winchester
2. An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination - Elizabeth McCracken
3. The Heretic Queen - Michelle Moran
4. The Fire - Katherine Neville
5. The Best Day of Someone Else's Life - Kerry Reichs
6. House and Home - Kathleen McCleary
7. Love and Biology at the Center of the Universe - Jennie Shortridge
8. Hot Mess: Summer in the City - Julie Kraut & Sharon Lester
9. Soup in the City - Kelly Hollingsworth
10. The 19th Wife - David Ebershoff
11. The Likeness - Tana French
12. When Will There Be Good News - Kate Atkinson
13. The Last Queen - C.W. Gortner
14. My Husband's Sweethearts - Bridget Asher
15. Altared - Colleen Curran
16. The Memorist - M.J. Rose
17. The Other Queen - Philippa Gregory
18. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larson
19. The Caliph's House - Tahir Shah
20. Riding Rockets - Mike Mullane

I hope there won't be any more replacing, but knowing me, that's not too likely.

Looks like you've made a good dent in your list already.

Don't feel bad. I had already changed my list a while ago and probably will again. My finished list doesn't usually resemble my first list much. lol.

LOL! I'll probably add things to my list but I'm anal so it won't probably be until I'm almost done with the existing list. Finally this morning I finished my first book from my list!

I am all for using the replacement rule...don't know if one really exists, but I'm never in it for the prize...so I do it anyway.

With this one, I've been deleting and not replacing. I mean, I do have an excessive amount. With this challenge, I give it 25 pages. If the book doesn't wow me, it's history.
