And the 2008 Booker Prize Winner Is....

The winner of the 2008 Man Booker Prize is The White Tiger by Arvind Adiga.


According to the New York Times, it is "a vivid exploration of India’s class struggle told through the story of a village boy who becomes the chauffeur to a rich man." Sounds like a book I'd actually like to read!

hey.. i definitely need to read this one too! i was surprised that rushdie didn't make the shortlist and then i thought ghosh had a chance.. didnt expect adiga! i need to read this one sometime soon!:)
