I got tagged for the 7 Random Things meme by Alea over at Pop Culture Junkie! So here are seven random things about me:
1. I LOVE watching sci-fi. I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate...more than one of my favorite shows is on the Sci Fi channel. I don't read much sci-fi for some strange reason, but I love watching it!
2. Though I am getting my master's degree in political science, I hate politics. I like studying policy though.
3. I am a packrat. I hate throwing things away. It drives my husband crazy! :-)
4. I really enjoy cooking but I'm a ridiculously messy cook.
5. I'm stealing this one from Alea - I collect DVD's along with books. My house is like a media library.
6. I love me some Final Fantasy - I've played VII, VIII, X, X-2 (blah), and XII.
7. I hate tomatoes. I know that's random, but I can't stand them. I like tomato sauces, salsa, ketchup, etc., but any raw tomato on a sandwich? No way. If a tomato has touched my sandwich, I have trouble eating it because it leaves the tomato pulpy juice behind (though I also hate being a brat and sending things back because I don't like them when I'm dining out, so usually I just bear it!)
I'm not going to specifically tag anyone for this, but I'll open it up - feel free to blog this one if you haven't already done so!
Welcome!

Yay thanks for playing along! We definitely have some things in common! Go packrats!
I'm a bit of a pack rat myself. lol. I love to cook also and have to admit to the kitchen being a disaster while doing so. I try to clean up as I'm going along but it never works out that way. Too cute about the tomaotes although I don't like the soggy stuff either.
You'd get along great with my husband - he loves sci-fi and he's a pack rat. Oh man, I love tomatoes - I can eat a whole can of diced tomatoes.
You should play Final Fantasy VI, it's my favorite.
I'm also with you on the packrat tendencies and the cooking. I keep everything just in case and I can never seem to tidy as I go in the kitchen. Forget baking, particularly when there is flour involved! I love to do it though. LOL.
I haven't decided whether or not to blog this one yet, but it looks like fun. I just read Meg Cabot's Queen of Babble, in which the main character really hates tomatoes and goes on and on about it. Your #7 was a funny coincidence of that for me.
I'm a former political science major who hates politics, too! Really loved studying politics - not so wild about "experiencing" politics. Glad to see I'm not alone.
