Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about rereading books!
Do you ever reread books? Do you have any favorites that you like to reread over and over, maybe once a year? What are they? What do you think you get out of rereading a book? Why do you do it?This is my first Musing Mondays, and I'm excited to join in! I do reread books, but not very often. I've read the Harry Potter books numerous times, but those are the only ones I've really reread lately. Usually I reread a book in order to pick up on things that I may have missed the first time around - for example, I read The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie in high school, and I've been wanting to reread it because I know that there's no way I understood everything that was going on in the book. So I guess my answer to this question is that I do reread books in theory, but usually I have so many unread books on my TBR pile (especially right now) that rereading books gets pushed to the backburner.

I tend to reread when I'm in a slump.
This was my very first Musing too.
There are books I intend to re-read (The Big Sleep, The Great Gatsby, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn), but I don't get around to it because there are so many great un-read books waiting for me, and I start feeling panicky that there isn't enough time in life to read them all. Hopefully I'll re-read them one day, though, because I'd rather my reading be fueled by love and not by anxiety that time is running out!
I've got to get my Musing Mondays done-I'm far behind this week. Like you I've read Harry Potter over about 3 times now I think. Those are really the only ones I read again now too. I have too many new ones I have to read.
Glad to have you join in the MUSING MONDAYS! :)
