Interesting news - apparently Candace Bushnell has signed a contract to write two books (the first called The Carrie Diaries and due out in 2010) about Carrie Bradshaw's high school years.
Umm...maybe it's just me, but this seems to be a classic case of not knowing when to quit.
What do you think?

You know I think as long as people keep showing such a huge interest in this story she'll keep doing more with it. It might be fun for the YA crowd to read about Carrie's high school years. I don't think it'll be anything I'll read but I think it'll do well.
I agree with you completely.
Oh, I hated to read this...
That's strange. It sounds like she will be writing a book version of Square Pegs.... I recently watched Square Pegs on dvd (Sarah Jessica Parker's tv from when she was about 15) on the special features she talked about how she didn't think it was a long shot from her character Patty on Square Pegs to Carrie. Patty was an aspiring writer!
I'm with you. All her books are starting to seem like repeats of each other. Enough is enough
LOL! It's all about the all mighty dollar.
