Sunday Salon

Well, this week hasn't been the most productive in terms of reading. I got back from Italy late Tuesday night, and I was a complete waste on Wednesday. I had orientation for grad school on Thursday (I'm starting on Monday), and Friday and Saturday were spent cataloguing wedding presents and (finally!) cleaning up.

I did manage to finish The Night Villa by Carol Goodman (review here). Any of you who read this blog regularly know that I'm a fan of her work, so I had been anxious to read this book, to the point where when I saw her book in Italy (in English), I was tempted to buy it even though I knew I had an ARC copy of it waiting for me at home! I'm glad to say it did not disappoint.

I'm hoping that my reading pace picks up a little, as I've got a lot of reading/blogging/commenting on other blogs to catch up on, but I can't say for certain. I start school next week, and I may be working part time as a research assistant as well, which would probably suck up all the extra free time I thought I'd have for reading! We'll see how it goes.

In the mean time, I'm still committed to posting at least five reviews a week and will be doing a lot of giveaways (current giveaway: A Summer Affair by Elin Hilderbrand here). I'm also going to be posting more honeymoon pictures and wedding pictures (whenever I get them!), so check back often!

Glad to hear the Goodman book didn't disappoint (I just read your review). I saw this one at the bookstore the other day and had to walk away quickly before purchasing. I'm a big fan of hers too.
