Sunday Salon - Week in Review

Well, this week was more productive than things have been lately, so that was a good feeling.

Books I finished:

Last Kiss - Luanne Rice

Summer Blowout - Claire Cook [review]

Off the Menu - Christine Son [review]

The House at Riverton - Kate Morton [review]

I also gave away a copy of A Summer Affair by Elin Hilderbrand to Carol (Carol, please e-mail me your full name and mailing address)! Come back tomorrow to see what my next giveaway will be.

Today is going to be spent reading, but unfortunately, it won't be reading for these purposes. My grad school classes started last week, and I have about 650 pages of reading to get through so I will be prepared for class this week!

Regardless, my goal for this week is to finish 5 non-school related books by next Sunday. Let's see how that works out!

You're right, we do have similar reading interests. I checked out the audio book for Summer Blowout. I read Life's a Beach a few weeks ago and didn't care for it at all. I didn't think I'd read Summer Blowout, but when I saw it at my library I thought may be listening to it might better. We'll see. I plan to start on Tuesday during my commute to work.

I have the same conflict with my grad school work. I just finished six books for the course. I'm determined not to acquiesce to the work load. Like you I'm setting personal reading goals. Today I'm finishing The Toss of a Lemon, a tome of 600+ pages that is not an easy read.

Good luck with your grad classes and reading! You must be a speed reader to fit in 5 books and the grad class reading!! I'll be checking back to see what you read this week..I'm impressed!

Wow, that'll be a lot of non-school reading to get done with what you need to read for your classes. I don't think I'd be able to do it. Hope you can. Good luck with your classes and that reading.
