Booking Through Thursday

This week's question:

Do you buy books while on vacation/holiday?
Do you have favorite bookstores that you only get to visit while away on a trip?
What/Where are they?

Actually, I don't really buy books while on vacation. Sometimes I'll buy a book at the airport, but generally, I usually take enough books with me to sustain me. Now, I have a Sony Reader (review here) and with the addition of a memory card, I can take hundreds of books with me wherever I go! So now there's no reason for me to shop while I'm out of town. That being said, Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer is being released ON THE DAY OF MY WEDDING (argh!) so there's no way I can read it opening day. But then my fiance got the bright idea of going and getting it for me on Sunday so I can read it on the plane on the way back home on Monday (isn't he sweet?) I also shop for books when I'm visiting my parents, but we usually just frequent B&N or Border's (my personal preference).

I still don't understand why people like the Meyer books, but I'm happy that you'll be reading something you're so excited about during a time of life that should be even more delightful. Best wishes!

Aww... what a nice hubby. I've just recently put Twilight and New Moon on Mt. TBR, but have yet to read them. I was talked into reserving a copy of Breaking Dawn, but I don't want to get it until I know whether I like the series or not.

I do buy books while I am on vacation either from the major bookstores or local small stores which are fun to visit.

Congrats

My law school roommates baby christening is on August 2. Since I have to travel I don't know if I can make the midnight party Barnes and Noble will have that night. **Sighs**

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

My sister is getting married that day too(in a town without a bookstore!) so I'll have to wait until the next day too to get home to my copy from Amazon.
