Booking Through Thursday

What are you reading? Anything special? Any particularly juicy summer reading?

Right now, I'm reading The Monster of Florence by Douglas Preston and Mario Spezi. Even though I'm only a few chapters into it, I'm already loving it. I'm also trundling through Swann's Way by Marcel Proust. While it's not difficult to read (the prose is beautiful), I do like long pauses between readings in order to reflect and digest a bit. I've been reading it since May 21 and I'm only about 200 pages in.

Next on my list are Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen, Moon Shot by Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton, Sweet Love by Sarah Strohmeyer, and The Last Mughal by William Dalrymple. Of course, with new books arriving daily, my TBR list never stays the same!

What about you, what are you reading? Do any of the books I'm reading sound interesting?

You are one of the fortunate ones who have books coming to you!
I slooowly buy one or go to the library and get several; therefore, my reading is not so speedy.

I'm so happy to hear that The Monster of Florence is good. No one in my store has read it yet, but it's been on my TBR and may have to move up a bit. Happy reading!

I've been thinking of reading Swanns Way. I'll get to it eventually. I feel I should clear my TBR pile a little bit first.

After reading like mad in May and June, I am going slow. It sure feels goo.

Lock and Key was the first book by Sarah Dessen I ever read. I liked it though :) Sweet Love sounds really sweet actually, I hope to be able to read it someday!
